Food safety, dietary tags, and "organic" claims
Updated June 17, 2026
Dietary tags
Sellers can tag products with: organic, pasture-raised, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, kosher, halal. Tags must be honest — false claims can lead to listing removal or account suspension.
"Organic" — what it means here
USDA-certified organic farms can use the official "Organic" tag and upload their certificate (we display it on their storefront). Non-certified farms can use "Naturally grown" or "No synthetic pesticides" but cannot use the certified-organic seal.
Food safety
Sellers are responsible for following state and local cottage-food, raw-milk, and food-handler laws. CuzHens does not pre-screen for compliance — buyers should ask the vendor for relevant permits if they have concerns.
Allergens
Sellers must list known allergens in the product description (eggs, dairy, nuts, wheat, soy, sesame). If you have a serious allergy, message the vendor before ordering.
Reporting a concern
