Effective: June 23, 2026 · Version: 2026-06-23
Farm Hand is the in-house AI assistant inside CuzHens Market. This page explains, in plain language, how it works, what data it sees, what it can and cannot do, and the important limits on its answers. This Notice is in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
A note on the other AI feature. CuzHens Market also has a second, admin-only AI feature called the AI Analytics Assistant (
/admin/analytics-assistant) which uses the same underlying model (Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.5 via the Emergent LLM gateway) to help our admin understand aggregate platform metrics. Customers and vendors never see the AI Analytics Assistant, and it never receives a customer's name, email, address, payment data, message content, or individual order data — only aggregated counts. The rest of this Notice covers Farm Hand, the customer-/vendor-facing assistant.
1. The most important things to know
- Farm Hand answers are generated by AI. Every response is produced in real time by a large language model (currently Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.5, accessed via the Emergent LLM gateway). Responses can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or misleading.
- Not professional advice. Farm Hand is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian, doctor, lawyer, accountant, financial advisor, food-safety inspector, electrician, or any other professional. Do not rely on it for any decision that could affect health, safety, money, or legal status. Always verify with a qualified expert.
- You are responsible for what you do with the answer. Farm Hand suggests; you decide. Acting on a Farm Hand response is your choice, and the consequences belong to you.
- It can hallucinate. Like all LLMs, Farm Hand may invent names, places, prices, or facts that sound right but are wrong. Treat every specific claim ("this product costs $X", "your state allows Y", "this medication is safe") as a starting point to verify, not a final answer.
- It does not access the live internet. Farm Hand does not browse the web in real time. It searches CuzHens-internal content (the Learning Center, the Community, the Marketplace, and Service listings) and uses the language model's general training knowledge. If a topic is brand-new or hyper-local, it may simply not know.
2. What Farm Hand can do
- Answer practical questions about poultry, gardening, produce, fruit, honey, plants, flowers, soil, pests, equipment, regulations (general), and selling on CuzHens.
- Point you to CuzHens-internal resources: Learning Center articles, Community discussions, Marketplace listings, Service listings, and seller storefronts.
- Suggest a next action ("ask the community", "browse a category", "request a guide").
- Help vendors brainstorm listing titles, descriptions, tags, and social copy through the in-dashboard tools.
3. What Farm Hand will not do
- Diagnose a sick animal or person. For animal-health emergencies, contact a vet. For human health, contact a medical professional.
- Provide legal, tax, accounting, insurance, immigration, or licensing advice. For those, contact a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
- Recommend specific medications, dosages, or off-label use of any product.
- Promote any external website, product, vendor, or service that is not on CuzHens. Farm Hand is configured to only link to CuzHens resources (
/learn/...,/community/...,/products/...,/services/...,/farms/...). If you see an external link in a Farm Hand response, that is a defect — please report it via info@cuzhens.com. - Make decisions on your behalf (book, buy, message, post, refund) without your explicit click.
- Reveal another user's personal data. Farm Hand only sees the public CuzHens content described in §4 below; it does not see private messages, addresses, payment details, or admin-only data.
4. What data Farm Hand sees
When you send a question, the platform builds a short context payload with:
- Your question (the text you typed).
- The last ~10 turns of the current chat session (so it can hold a conversation).
- A short search of public CuzHens content that matches your question — titles + excerpts of relevant Learning Center articles, Community discussions, Marketplace products, Service listings, and seller profiles. Only public content is included; private chats, orders, payment data, and admin tools are never sent to the model.
- A system prompt that tells the model how to answer (be brief, link only to CuzHens, never give professional advice, etc.).
What Farm Hand does NOT see:
- Your password, payment information, or full card numbers.
- Direct messages between you and other users.
- Your private order history, cart contents, or refund tickets.
- Other users' email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses.
- Admin notes, moderation records, or vendor financial records.
5. Where your prompts go
When you ask Farm Hand a question, the question and the context block described in §4 are sent to:
- Anthropic, PBC — through the Emergent LLM gateway (
integrations.emergentagent.com) — for inference. Anthropic operates the Claude model that produces the answer. Anthropic's privacy commitments for API customers are at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy. - Emergent acts as the API broker; they do not retain prompts beyond the brief operational logs needed to deliver the response, per their own privacy policy.
We do not train or fine-tune any model on your prompts. We do not share Farm Hand prompts with advertisers or any third party other than the gateway + model provider needed to deliver the response.
6. Chat retention
- We may store the text of your Farm Hand chats in the CuzHens database under your account, so you can scroll back through past sessions and so we can improve the assistant. Retention follows the rules in §8 of our Privacy Policy.
- You can request deletion of your Farm Hand chat history by emailing info@cuzhens.com. Deleting your CuzHens account also deletes your Farm Hand history within the timelines described in the Privacy Policy.
- Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics (e.g., "1,200 questions about chickens were asked last month") may be retained indefinitely to help us improve the product.
7. AI-generated-content labelling
Every Farm Hand answer in the chat UI is visibly labelled as AI-generated (a small "AI-generated · not professional advice" tag appears under each reply). Any printable export, draft email, or PDF generated by an AI tool inside CuzHens also includes a visible "Generated by AI" notice. Do not strip these notices when forwarding content to third parties.
8. Acceptable use of Farm Hand
You agree NOT to use Farm Hand to:
- Solicit answers to questions that violate our Acceptable Use Policy — illegal goods, harassment, impersonation, scams, mass-harvesting personal data, etc.
- Attempt prompt injection or jailbreaks designed to bypass the safety rules described here (e.g., asking it to ignore its system prompt, leak internal content, or output external URLs).
- Generate content intended to defame, harass, dox, or deceive another person.
- Generate content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Repeatedly submit the same question through automated tooling in a way that degrades the service for other users.
Violations may result in Farm Hand being disabled on your account, plus the broader enforcement steps described in our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Vendor AI tools
Vendors on paid tiers can use Farm Hand-powered tools to draft product titles, SEO descriptions, tags, social posts, and care guides. These drafts are AI-generated text suggestions. You are responsible for:
- Reviewing every draft before it is published or sent;
- Making sure the draft is accurate, lawful, and consistent with your actual product;
- Honouring any IP, certification, or labelling rules that apply to your product (organic, USDA, allergen, raw-milk warnings, etc.);
- Disclosing AI-generated content where required by law or platform policy.
CuzHens is not liable for losses caused by an AI-generated draft a vendor decided to publish without verifying.
10. Accuracy of internal links
Farm Hand attaches CuzHens-internal links (to articles, posts, products, services, sellers) by pulling them from our live database — not by inventing them. Those links should always work and always point to real CuzHens pages. If a link is broken, mistargeted, or points outside of CuzHens, that is a bug — please report it via info@cuzhens.com with a screenshot.
11. No guarantees
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Farm Hand is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee a specific response time, model availability, or any business outcome from following an AI suggestion.
Our total aggregate liability arising from your use of Farm Hand is bounded by §20 of the Terms of Service.
12. Children
Farm Hand is part of the Service and follows the same age rules as our Terms of Service §2 and Privacy Policy §9. It is not directed at children under 13.
13. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice. Material changes will be announced with an in-app banner and an updated "Version" marker above. Continued use of Farm Hand after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Contact
Report a bug, an unsafe answer, or a policy concern:
CuzHens LLC Waycross, GA Email: info@cuzhens.com (subject line "Farm Hand")
In one sentence: Farm Hand is a helpful AI assistant grounded in CuzHens content, but it is not a professional — always verify health, safety, legal, and money decisions with a qualified human.
